aka how digit Chiwere man forfeited over 200 pounds and gained his chronicle back. I crapper not feature sufficiency most how positively the Atkins Diet and baritone carb in generalized has been for me. I went from a 429 blow man who could just attain it up a grace steps to a man streaming half marathons and rejoining the National Guard. My upbeat is fantastic, and my murder impact (cholesterol, triglycerides, murder pressure, heart) could not be better.

I call it a Diet for the reasons most people do. It’s how its understood and diet’s definition is simply a way of eating. I understand where you are coming from and sometimes the connotation with Diet is that one can hop off of it as well as hop on it (like a wagon). I intend it more like a lion’s or rabbit’s diet. They eat the same way for all their life; they don’t choose to be on anything. They just eat. The same goes for me now and for the next however many years I am blessed to live.

Hi Kent, it is interesting you say that you have been on the diet for 6 years. I would view Atkins as a healthy lifestyle rather than a diet, because a diet is something you do for 6 months to lose the weight. Atkins is more a healthy way to live which will improve energy, introduce you to exciting foods and improve your life.
why would you want to stop. You might eat a piece a bread from time to time or junk food, but over the long term, this is just they way I eat now.

No, I have been on the diet consistently for the last 6 years. Mind you there are four phases of the diet, but even the first and most restrictive phase of Induction, you can be on for well over 6 months without negative side effects.

congratulations on your weight loss. this video should be an inspiration to those who need to lose. i had read a book on atkins years ago and was under the impression you couldn’t be on the diet for anything longer then a 3 month stretch. did you take breaks from the diet or did you constantly follow it? just curious… i found this video as a recommendation from utube. take good care…

I agree you can do this. Get yourself prepped today – watch my how to start video, read chapter 11 again to refresh your memory on the rules and the acceptable foods, and you should be good to go. Good luck!

That photos was originally for an Atkins Diet Boot Camp I put on about the same time I rejoined the Iowa Army National Guard, so it was my drill sergeant look.

I am a quiet slim person and I dont know how I get here but wooww Bravo
February 5th, 2010 at 2:17 pm
No, I have not. You can check out my loose skin video where what I have left of loose skin is apparent. There is definitely some there, but I think a healthy diet of fats and protein and the exercise I did minimized what was left.
February 5th, 2010 at 3:03 pm
Did you have to have a tummy tuck or some kind of surgery to get rid of the excess skin? I just began the diet myself. Any special tips?

Are they hunger pains or cravings? If hunger pains, you aren’t eating enough. If cravings, then yes they do go away and there are a few supplements that will help as well – chromium Piccolinate.

Sorry, but you are just confused. Atkins says you can eat liberally from meat sources until satiated. Atkins also teaches that carbohydrates are also main insulin trigger in one’s diet, but also teaches too much protein can also be converted to glucose.
Thanks for your comments even if errant.

THE ATKINS LIES
The Atkins lie is that you can lose weight by eating as much meat as you want.
Another Atkins lie is that eating carbohydrates makes you fat.
But Atkins didnt make these lies!
Atkins taught how to restore and keep a balanced diet. But a balanced diet stops food addiction and that costs food companies a lot of money.
It’s all about INSULIN and MONEY.

Thanks for your reply. I am not needing to lose all 70 before then howvere I would like to put a decent dent in it before then. Thanks for your help
February 5th, 2010 at 6:45 pm
I think it is possible, but really check out my “how much will I lose Induction video?” video. I talk about this very question in that video, and really the short answer is what happens if you lose 50 or 60 pounds by June. You will still be in much better shape, well on the way to goal, and on the right plan to get there.
So drive and focus every day like you should get there, and you should be in a much better position then than now.
February 5th, 2010 at 7:02 pm
I have just started this today, I am hopeing to lose 70 pounds. I am moving back home in June and hopeing to lose alot of it before
I go. Do you think that is possible?
February 5th, 2010 at 7:43 pm
Thank you! It was just something I knew I had to do personally, and to be honest, that once started it was like I was on a train. There was simply to question or turning. It was just a matter of time and doing roughly the same thing tomorrow as I did today.
Much luck, and I hope you do achieve goal. Congrats on making the decision to be better.
